Meet Josh

With over 20 years of aviation experience—including time as a U.S. Marine Corps First Aerial Navigator on the KC-130—I’ve dedicated my life to helping others achieve their flying goals.

After earning my Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautics from Liberty University, I obtained my FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate and Flight Instructor Certificate with Instrument Ratings (CFI/CFII). Since then, I’ve provided over 1,000 hours of in-airplane instruction with a 100% first-time pass rate on FAA Practical Exams.

In 2020, I graduated top of my class as a Captain at Boutique Air. Just as my commercial career was taking off, I received a letter from the FAA grounding me due to a hereditary heart condition. It was a devastating moment—but not the end of my journey.

While I can no longer fly commercially, I’m still fully certified to instruct both online and in the airplane. Unfortunately, financial setbacks caused by this sudden career interruption have made it difficult to return to the cockpit as an active instructor. That's why I launched EZWingz—to continue doing what I love: helping pilots succeed.

Through EZWingz, I offer 1-on-1 personalized Zoom instruction for pilots at every level. Whether you're preparing for your checkride or just getting started, I tailor each session to your goals, your pace, and your learning style.
